Kiriburu – Natures Hidden Beauty

Kiriburu, which lies in the southern most region close to its neighboring state Odisha. The elaboration of its name Kiri – meaning Elephant and Buru – meaning hills given by the indigenous people of the state, abode for hundreds of elephants. Well connected to the state and national highways making it quite accessible to reach the place, which is 205kms from Ranchi. Driver’s paradise for bikers as the roads starts with wide NH & SHs and slowly is starts trimming its wideness into broken jungle paths with treacherous overgrown roots. Its tedious journey all-together in a day but reaching the place you are supercharged.




Driving on the meandering roads covering both the sides of the roads with dense forest, which is unique in its own way. Barren roads, towering Sal trees, sounds of crickets echoing, birds chirping and some unknown sounds of the wild animals can also be heard. Believe it, serenity to the extent makes you feel out of this world. The rouge powdered coated roads gives you the feeling of the welcome on red carpet due to the open-air iron ore mines. The rides on the ruptured wilderness and sparse to photograph the bleak topography of the mines. 700 rolling hills covered with greenish bed at a stretch can be spotted from the Sunset Point keeping you spellbound. During winters and rainy season, the hills is covered with mist like a white puff. Crossing clouds and soothing breeze pumps up the lungs with freshness of this place. Scattered civilization of the social animal can be witnessed close towards the valley. After dusk the valley is lit up with voltaic luminosity and the clear celestial sphere with twinkling stars is just a paradise by itself.





Small streams and pristine waterfalls within the jungle is also an adventure trek to indulge in nature’s vision. This place is weekend getaway in search of eternal peace in the cradle of Mother Nature. March to November travel is the big thumbs up with your troop to have a jungle safari.
